When I look into the eyes of animals, especially the ones I've grown to know and love so well such as Pal, Toby, and Sasha, and even Rango, I see the expression of Jesus' unconditional love. The very notion that someone would eat these very God-like creatures and in doing so support the industries that kill and torture billions of these very sentient beings every week is abhorrent to me. Of course this is a topic that no one wishes to discuss because deep down they know that what they are doing is wrong since killing others for one's own selfish wants is the very basis of evil.
I start my mission with helping Christians for they purport a yearning for doing "what would Jesus do? (WWJD) A recent study shows that Christians are the fattest among Americans. A staggering 76% of Christians are overweight or obese instead of "just" 70% for Americans in general. Being overweight or obese is a leading manifestation of eating animal products. In actuality the numbers are much worse since Dr. Joel Fuhrman explains that the upper limit for a healthy Body Mass Index (BMI) is 23 not the 25 espoused by the medical industry. As such 88% of Americans are overweight or obese, not 70% and Christians, incredibly, are least 95% or so.
Second on my list are environmentalists who purport to "care" for the planet yet continue to consume animal products which have been indisputably found to be the leading cause of the environment's destruction. It is good to see that after many years of being a meat-eating environmentalist, one of its most recognized proponents, former Vice President Al Gore, became vegan. I also include the environmental organizations that take money from the animal product industries and do not call them out for what they are doing.
Third on my agenda are those anti-cancer, heart-healthy, and kidney organizations that support the animal products industry despite the overwhelming scientific evidence that animal products promote cancer, heart disease, and diabetes.
Fourth, on my list are the Federal and local governments starting with the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) and the National Institutes of Health (NIH) which claim to care for citizens yet aggressively support the animal products industry, most notably through
(1) subsidies such as the infamous Farm Bill (that's why hamburgers cost less than broccoli) and the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) formerly called "food stamps" that can be used to purchase practically anything instead of just organic produce,
(2) mandates such as those requiring cow's milk in school lunches,
(3) the allowance of processed meat sales that have been determined by the World Health Organization (WHO) to be a Group 1 carcinogen just like asbestos, tobacco, and plutonium but unlike these, no warning labels are placed on their packaging (In fact, the hot dog is America's food of choice at its pastime of choice, baseball. Furthermore, carriers of carcinogens such as cigarettes and since MO08AUG16 e-cigarettes as well are banned from minors yet other carcinogenic carriers such as hot dogs are "lovingly" fed to our children.), and
(4) a continuance of the 28 institutes at NIH none of which focus on Whole Plant Nutrition (WPN) which has been scientifically determined to reduce, prevent, and even reverse the top killers of Americans that comprise 85% of our healthcare system budget.
Finally, I propose a solution to the healthcare crisis by offering the "P5 Initiative" which is a program that provides financial rewards for good health as described on the P5 Initiative page of this site.
American lives and health have been hijacked by industry and by our own government. If we all ate responsibly following a WPN lifestyle, there would be no healthcare crisis. It is as simple as that!
The super good news is that President-Elect Trump will empower Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. to clean up our healthcare and nutrition mess. This brings great hope for our country.
Just like the injustices of slavery, the women's vote, and gay rights, I believe that the wanton killing and torture of animals will also be eradicated and in a fashion much faster than it took to stop smoking, all due to the power of the Internet. You'll see!
